The Revd Canon Dr Joseph Zebedayo Bilal
Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Church Relations
Revd Canon Dr Joseph Zebedayo Bilal oversees all academic aspects of the life of the University. Since 2013, he has been instrumental in leading the university from being a project to its status as a private university accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology. Revd Dr Joseph has a BA and MA in Theology from the University of Bristol and a PhD from the London School of Theology, University of Middlesex.
Revd Dr Ajang Atem Joseph
Deputy Vice Chancellor for Administration and Public Relations
Oversees all the administrative and public relations aspects of TEU. He has served the University since 2018 as project manager and as Secretary for Academic Affairs. He has seen the university transition from a project, to its status as a private university accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education. Revd Dr Ajang has a BA in International Relations and Diplomacy, an MA in Security Studies from Cavendish University Uganda, an MA in Conflict Resolution and Peace Building from Kampala International University, a Master of Science in Comparative Politics and a PhD in International Relations, from the University of Juba.

exercises executive leadership of the university. She has doctorates in Chemistry and Theology from Oxford and Cambridge Universities and has taught chemistry in Addis Ababa and Switzerland, and Theology in seminaries in Oxford, Bristol and Cambridge, UK. She helped to carry out the Feasibility Study for developing an ECSS university in 2011, and, in 2014, founded the UK partnership, ECSSSUP, which works alongside TEU.
The Revd Canon Dr James Aruma IIarious
Deputy Vice Chancellor for Affiliated Colleges
Revd Dr James Aruma Ilarious is responsible for progressing the TEU vision of a multi-campus university by strengthening relationships with our affiliated colleges – currently in Kajo Keji, Maridi and Wau. Before joining TEU in March 2022, Dr. James taught for 18 years in Paul University, Institute of Theology Awka and for 2 years in Nnanmdi Azikiwe University, Awka Anambra State, Nigeria. He has been Dean Students Affairs for 16 years and Dean of the Sandwich Programme for 2 years. He has a PhD in Church History.
