Campuses

Three colleges founded by the Episcopal Church of Sudan are affiliated to The Episcopal University. In the coming year these colleges will become campuses of the University offering government-accredited programmes.

Chaima Christian Institute Maridi

Chaima Christian Institute Maridi was established in August 1988 as a Bible school in Maridi Diocese to train church workers for Christian ministry.  In 2010, the college introduced some new professional courses other than theology and the name of the school changed to Chaima Christian Institute Maridi (CCIM). CCIM offers a range of Diploma and Certificate programmes in theology, English, agriculture and computer science.

The Principal of CCIM is Revd Eli Bangisa, and the Chair of the Board is the Bishop of Maridi, the Right Revd Canon Moses Zungo.

Kajo Keji Christian College

Kajo Keji Christian College was established in 1993 by Diocese of Kajo-Keji. It was formerly known as Canon Benaiah Poggo College (CBPC) before it was renamed Kajo-Kaji Christian College (KKCC) in 2013. The aim was to train church leaders and workers for the Episcopal dioceses of the Anglican Province of Sudan. As a result of the wars with Sudan, and, later, civil war within South Sudan, KKCC has had to relocate to Uganda for significant periods. It has recently returned to its campus in Kajo Keji. KKCC offers a degree in Theology and diplomas and certficates in Business Administration and Primary Education.

The Principal of KKCC is Revd Dr Michael Kiju Paul, and the Chair of the Board is the Right Revd James Lule, Bishop of Kajo Keji.

St John’s College of Theology and Development

St John’s College of Theology and Development, Wau, was started in 2011 as a theological college, with the aim of providing training to around 300 pastors ordained during the war who had received little basic education and no theological training. The college now offers Diplomas and Certificates in Theology, Business Administration and Management, and Primary Education – as well as other short courses.

The Principal of St John’s College is Philip Abiel NYok, and the Chair of the Board is the Right Revd Moses Deng Bul, Internal Archbishop of Northern Bahr el Ghazal and Bishop of Wau.
